Starmugs – Because You Can’t Have Too Many City Mugs

starmugs-comOr can you?  These collectible mugs from Starbucks are quite the hot item.  A whole network of trading and buying/selling is going on with these trendy coffee mugs.  You see, nearly every city Starbucks has a store in has a unique Starbucks mug to go with it.  So if you walk into the Starbucks in Atlanta, Georgia, you see an Atlanta mug.  In Fargo, North Dakota?  Yep, there’s a mug.  Salt Lake City, Utah?  Well, no, caffeine is illegal there.  OK, maybe not.  There’s a mug.
Starmugs is an online showcase where Starbucks mug collectors can show off their collections, hook up with people to trade mugs, and tell your fascinating mug stories too.
The site is apparently based in Taiwan and some of the help and other pages show that.  Going to the “About” page greets you with an extremely informative
We all Love Starbucks City mugs.Come and Join us FOR FREE!Let’s enjoy collecting these mugs!
That’s it, word-for-word, exactly as it appears.  The entire “About” page.  Obviously Starbucks mugs collectors aren’t interested in fluff like About Us pages.  They want the nitty-gritty, the goods, the core of the thing.  So they jump right in, sign up, and start showing off their awesome collections of coffee mugs.
If you’re really, really into those Starbucks city mugs, I guess that Starmugs is the place for you.  I’m still looking for a decent site for collectors of rare Star Wars left-handed light sabers.  Let me know if you see anything.  I’ve got a totally rad collection.

Comparison between Starbucks Citymugs 1994 collector series and 2008 icon(global) series

In 2008,Starbucks Citymugs had made a new colloection named "2008 icon(global) series" to compare with "1994 collector series".There are several features between these two collections.

1.Similar to the dutone process,Your browser may not support display of this image. there are only two major colors used in every cup.  Based on this principal, applying with variation of layers, and gradients on the background, then achieve the paint brush finish.

2.The main designs are all followed the collector series of 1994.

3.Same as previous series, the graphics are imprinted at the front,  and the backgrounds are the city skylines with city names.

4.The difference between this series and the 1994's is - this series chose dark brown for the lettering as the 1994 series used black.

5.Only "starbucks" shown for older collections;  later on, "starbucks coffee" started to show.

6.What makes this series distinguished is the inner side of the cups are colored.

7. This series also comes with a mini cup collections as bonus gift, unlike previous single cups, they are tied with the country cups. (Although collector series for Asia used this approach too)

8.also called global series

Citymug,and theBurj Dubai!

Standing at a reported 818 m (the official height will not be revealed until next year) and consisting of 162 floors above ground, the giant tower - described as the 'jewel of the Gulf regions' - is an awesome sight to behold.
The tower will include 800 private apartments and an observatory 442 metres above the ground on the 124th floor - the highest public observation desk in the world. There will be a club on floors 144 to 146.
Sitting at the foot of the tower is the 500 acre Downtown Burj Dubai development, which when completed is expected to cost around US$20 billion, offering 30,000 homes and the world's largest shopping mall - the Dubai Mall - covering 836,000 square metres. The Burj Dubai Mall will have areas for leisure, including a world-class aquarium, fashion show arena, a souk and an ice rink.

What is Jambiya?

“If you wore an expensive jambiya, you were considered a big man, and people would respect you more than they would the average person. The jambiya had great value to it in the past,” Mis’ead said.
